Today is a good day. The poor thing had been languishing in the driveway while I didn’t know why it wouldn’t idle, and was running poorly overall.

I finally sucked it up and had her towed to my mechanic for diagnosis. Someone who worked on K-Jet when it was new is better at this than I am.

Turns out the fuel distributor is having issues of some kind, and it just randomly changed the mixture on me, that was all. He adjusted it again, and added some timing since I’m putting 94 in her, and I’m told the B18s enjoy some advance. he also changed the fuel filter, and I’m putting in some Redline MTL and diff oil next week, to round out the slow revival since it sat for 2 years before I bought it.

Also at his shop was something pretty special....

Oh yeah, since I removed the park bench from the front of the car, I haven’t had anywhere to mount my front plate. Today I learned that the plastic plugs in the holes I don’t know the purpose for on the front of the car, will hold the plate on.

I felt smart.

I also replaced my cracking wooden shifter that liked to fall off with this leather one that used to be in my friends E28

Making my Blazer look big

Time to do lots of driving, before I spend more on it.

Sadly I don’t think so, there’s a chip on the hood and you can see another layer underneath, and overspray is present on some a lot the trim. It’s an old enough job that it’s faded pretty good though

Thanks! I’m sure it would’t go over well if I was issued a VI, but my friend has been driving around for at least a year sporting no bumpers on his E28, with no issues. I’m hoping I get the same luck :p
